Pruning

We provide professional pruning practices that are current with the ANSI A300 standard. Our equipment is ethically sterilized to prevent the transfer of any pathogens from tree to tree. Pruning is the deliberate removal of tree branches and limbs to achieve a specific objective in the alteration of a tree’s health and form. Pruning is the most significant and common practice due to costs and impact on the tree and can extend the life of a tree in your yard for decades. For some more info on pruning check our blog page to learn more about the various systems involved and our objectives!

Plant Health Care (PHC)

Our most exciting new service! Plant Health Care takes a holistic approach to tree services. At the moment we are encouraging our clients to focus their attention to soil fertilizations, horticultural sprays, mulching. Our most effective technique to combating low vigor rates, compacted soil, drought and heat is a deep root fertilization combined with organic mulching. This technique will greatly prepare your trees for long hot dry summers to receive the nutrients they need and retain soil moisture. Give us a call to have a specialist review your site.

Removal

Sometimes, removals are necessary.  This can be accomplished through advanced rigging and mechanical techniques.  In some cases cranes are required to assist the removal process.  Trees located in Multnomah County do need to be permitted for removal.  If your in the Portland area please use this link for guidelines and instructions.  If you are outside the Portland Area, please refer to your local city website or office to receive and submit a tree removal permit application.

Cable Installations/Inspections

Cable installations can greatly reduce the risk of failure for trees with included bark.  Included bark occurs when the attachment (a branch) failed to properly grow to the stem.  An attachment with included bark greatly increases the risk of failure.  Cable installations help to reduce this risk.  There are both dynamic and static cabling systems.

Stump Grind

If you need to have a stump removed from a recent or older tree removal we can help! Our stump grinders can squeeze through most side access gates. Our objective is to help with the removal of the root ball area to allow you to repurpose the area.

Storm Damage

Storm damage does occur.  Trees often come down from wind, ice and snow loads!  These situations can be very dangerous as heavy tree loads can shift and move unexpectedly. If you have a fallen tree in your yard or on your home please allow us to safely remove the hazard.   As with removals, storm damage cleanup is accomplished using mechanical advantages, advanced rigging, cranes and heavy equipment.

If you are filing an insurance claim we can help! Our team will work with your insurance adjuster to help you get your damaged property cleaned up to begin repairing the damage.

Hazard Prune and Removals

If you are experiencing a hazardous tree or branch that has failed and is currently a risk to people or property please give us call. Large branch failures over homes and root plate failures are some of the more common hazardous projects we come accross.

Tree Inspections

Tree inspections are a great way to gather more information on your trees current condition and better understand its history. These inspections are typical for new home owners who would like to know the health of their larger trees on the property. Our arborist will climb and inspect the canopy for previous failures, wounds, pruning activities, deadwood production, shoot elongations, reaction wood responses and more. These inspections are not a prune, however some light debris may be removed for access only. Once. an inspection is made we will communicate the findings with the client and any further recommendations.
