Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

During your initial site visit we will take into account a myriad of factors that will be considered in calculating your quote.

Factors we evaluate include:

  • Overall scope of the project.

  • Proximity to structures, fences and other obstacles.

  • The number of “targets” below the tree or along the drag path, such as sensitive plants and flowers.

  • The distance from the tree to the processing area and other equipment.

  • Tree accessibility for climbing or aerial lifts.

  • Overall condition of tree.

  • Equipment needed to safely complete the project.

When is the best time to prune my tree?

Pruning most trees during dormancy (winter) is often preferred however there are species that respond favorably during the summer months. The bigger question is what we are pruning, why we are we pruning this tree and how much debris do we expect to remove in that particular pruning cycle? In reality we prune all year round however we may encourage the client to wait on a particular prune depending on the scope of the pruning and current response growth of the tree until the tree has lost its leaves and slows down the vascular systems which transport nutrients throughout the tree.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes we are. When you receive a quote all of our license and insurance information will be provided in our terms and conditions. Please read through this information as there are other important items to better prepare you for our next visit.

Are you an ISA Certified Arborist?

YES! Nearly all of our estimators and our top field workers are ISA certified arborist or working towards their certifications. Two of our certified arborist have obtained their Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ). TRAQ is a great tool to assess the potential of tree risks.

Unfortunately at the moment it is not mandatory to hold an ISA certification to own a tree company. Its important to for the betterment of the industry at large to have owners and its staff actively engaged in maintaining and bettering their certifications in ISA and other governing bodies such as TCIA.
